Committee member for Blue COLLAR POST COLLECTIVE NYC
organizing events, monthly meetups, panel events and community tech support
Kolobok - the little round bun - who you'd kill for.
I helped Masha shape the lighting for these no-budget pieces and saw a truly creative director work her magic.

- You've gotta Play to win -
Through a raffle with Blue collar post collective I won a trip to vegas' NAB convention '24
I met the people who make our NLE software, on + off-prem storage, and pro colorists.

I was chosen to go to cannes Marche du film as a representative of a feature doc in development in partnership with the source of the story - the Executive director-writer.
We crafted story, arranged meetings and learned about film funding + distro on the global indie market.
This was a real cementing moment of my feature ambitions.

Growing responsibility at CUNY
- as a mature student, I took leadership of the Cinema Club, mentoring younger native New yorkers
- I produced and Ad's 3 profile docs below, then grew to story editor, now editor
- headed an internship team in my last semester, helping to pull off events + projects

"Made in BMCC": Series of three Portrait documentaries - Each 15 mins
Telling the stories of BMCC Media students. How they arrived at college from different Countries, States and Boroughs.
BMCC students come to make their dreams happen against the odds.
This project provides the showpieces for a new scheme in BMCC with the Mayor's office: raising students' readiness to work and their employment with top NYC conglomerates.
Showcasing the subjects' talents: from logo design to chocolate design, while hearing about their personal view of creativity was very humbling. Pre-Production: locations, logistics, Shot List, Budgeting
Production: AD, interviewer
Post: Story Editing, narrative in A/V Scripts

"Career-Connected Learning": Team leader
A campaign across social media and in-person events to raise aspirations.
This project gained huge praise from faculty members, students and CEO's.
The impact of our team is being felt at BMCC, as we enter our second semester with more funding and a team twice the size.
I'm proud to have been a team leaderl helping to motivate and keep on-task a diverse student team made up of designers, copywriters, ux developers, social media creatives.
Our field Trips and open door talks have been maxed out in attendance, and more students than ever before have working resumes, portfolios and ambitions to reach their dream job.

"It's never the perfect day": Producer, AD
tender yet comedic telling of coming out by Latina NYU writer/director.
A test of my production and organization over the course of a month, then the short-term of a 2-day shoot.
I learned a lot about keeping a set on track through lighting changes, lens switches and the challenges of a small set.
Pre-production: Budgeted and assisted casting
Production: AD on our 2 shoot days, QA and delegation through a team of ~20 cast, crew and various location liaisons.
"Açai bowl": Producer, Camera
A group project, sharing creative input in a narrative based off a song.
Led BMCC Cinema Arts club in their first project.
I was overjoyed to bring together members, using their strengths and talents while teaching people who were brand new to video production, belonging to different majors.
Our actor did a great job of lip syncing in this fan music video.
"A. Frogman Story": Original creative ad
Crafting this commercial was a really fun experience. It was a day where I was confident in the physical acting of the 'frogman' so could give minimal direction.
I microscopically planned each shot to fit with this particular song, so our shoot was very smooth and purposeful.
This one-day shoot was run-and-gun through battery park.
Best Commercial, BMCC Film Festival Spring '23.

"Frog man" Zack and I on lunch break.
"Tea Time": What'll remain?
I should emphasise the production that went into my short film.
This was my own narrative, based on stories from my own life and my friends.
My professional crew dedicated their time to the project because they believed in it.
They helped bring the moodboards to life, donating their equipment and time to make this happen, with electric, focus pulling, sound and camera operation over a 2-day shoot.
We used our available resources - luckily a beautiful location was lent to us, and a small local business provided transport.
